1. Information We Collect

When you use this website, Ask SEAM, or a SEAM form, SEAM may collect information you provide directly, including your name, business name, email address, phone number, and details about your business situation or service needs.

Ask SEAM is designed for business-support questions. Do not submit Social Security numbers, passwords, full bank or payment-card numbers, account credentials, or other unnecessary sensitive personal or financial information through Ask SEAM.

2. How We Use Your Information

Information you provide may be used to:

• Generate an Ask SEAM business-readiness analysis and route you to relevant SEAM service paths
• Review and respond to consultation or intake requests
• Follow up on submitted inquiries
• Confirm scope and service engagement details
• Process payments through our third-party payment processor (Stripe)
• Measure website usage and improve SEAM's website, service paths, and communications using aggregate or privacy-minimized analytics when you allow analytics

SEAM does not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Third-Party Tools

This website uses third-party services that may process information as part of website operation or a service you request:

• Netlify — website hosting, serverless functions, and form-related website operations
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — website usage measurement and aggregate reporting when you allow analytics
• Google Tag Manager (GTM) — delivery and configuration of approved website measurement tags after analytics consent
• Stripe — secure payment processing

Ask SEAM is a SEAM-controlled business-readiness support tool. Its current production response path uses SEAM-controlled deterministic rules. No optional third-party narrative provider is currently active. Any future optional narrative provider, if separately activated, is intended to receive only bounded SEAM-generated structured analysis rather than raw visitor free text.

When you allow analytics, Google Analytics may process limited usage and technical information needed to provide measurement services, and Google Tag Manager may be used to load and configure the approved measurement tags. SEAM configures its custom analytics events to minimize data and does not intentionally send form contents, names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment identifiers, passwords, or other account credentials to GA4. Each third-party provider maintains its own privacy and data-handling terms.

4. Data Handling and Storage

SEAM may retain information submitted through consultation, intake, contact, or service workflows as needed to respond to the request, confirm an engagement, provide services, maintain business records, or meet applicable operational requirements.

Ask SEAM may use browser local storage to preserve limited routing or summary information for a related SEAM form. Ask SEAM response processing is performed server-side; credentials for any optional provider, if one is later enabled, are not exposed to visitors.

Website analytics data may be retained according to SEAM's configured analytics settings and the applicable provider terms. Operational intake, client, and payment records remain separate from browser analytics and are governed by the systems used to provide those services.

5. Analytics Choices, Cookies and Local Storage

SEAM uses a consent-first analytics approach. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics are not loaded by SEAM's analytics adapter until you choose Allow analytics. Choosing Decline keeps the analytics transport disabled. Core website functionality remains available either way.

Your analytics choice is stored in browser local storage so the site can remember it. After you make a choice, a Privacy choices control is available so you can review or change that selection. If you withdraw a previously granted analytics choice, SEAM disables its custom measurement and reloads the page so the analytics provider remains absent on the refreshed page.

This website may also use browser cookies or local storage for functional purposes, such as preserving Ask SEAM routing information or pre-filling related consultation or intake fields. If you allow Google Analytics, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to support website measurement. SEAM's current analytics implementation is intended for website measurement, not advertising personalization.

SEAM does not use Ask SEAM responses to promise or determine financing, credit, legal, tax, or business outcomes.

6. Automated Business-Readiness Support

Ask SEAM uses SEAM-controlled automated decision rules to organize the information you provide, identify possible SEAM service paths, and support next-step routing. Optional language-provider output is not part of the current active production response path. Automated output may be incomplete or require verification before it is relied upon. SEAM does not treat automated output as a final determination of legal compliance, tax treatment, accounting treatment, financing or credit eligibility, or any guaranteed business outcome. Ask SEAM is not a substitute for legal, tax, accounting, lending, or other licensed professional advice.

This privacy policy may be updated when SEAM's website, service providers, or data practices materially change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
